Bibalicious!

Since I fell in love with the romance fabric collection I have gone a step further and created some reversible bibs to match the skirts.  For those wee dots still in need of a bib these pretty romance bibs are really cute. Especially when worn with a romance layer cake.

Each bib has a co-ordinating fabric reverse.  I.e. green with cream, cream with pink and pink with green.

Pot luck

So yesterday I got a wee parcel in the post of some fabric I bought off TradeMe - a small pot luck parcel.  This is what I made for my bubba this morning.  I like it - I even sewed a fabric flower which I intend to attach to a brooch clip so I can accessorise her outfit.  Just need to wash it a few hundred times to get that frayed look.

Perhaps I will even add some beads to the centre to give it a little bling.

I am in love with all the retro and vintage fabrics on the market.  I have picked out a couple of my favourites and created some stylish reversible bibs.

Monkey bibs are now in stock

Tonight I went bananas (ha ha) making up some cute monkey bibs to match the monkey burp cloths. These bibs have a white reverse to match the burp cloth.  I have decided to sell these as a duo.

I am doing the same with the paisley ones.

I also made some different monkey bibs with ribbon accents on the shoulders to be sold as a twin pack (reverse is butter).

Finally I made up some regular monkey bibs to be sold as singles (picture shows the reverse also).

More cake anyone?

My love of all things ruffly has evolved into a wee empire of romance layer cake skirts. Although I haven't gone too overboard, I am very pleased with the results.

I have created in total 6 beautiful skirts, all unique in their composition so you can be sure you little darling is the only one wearing that particular combination of fabrics.

As you will notice from the images, one skirt is absent from my collection and this is because it has already been whisked off to a new home. I hope to update my posts some day with customers' images of my creations in action.

A shout out of thanks to the girls in my coffee group

Deluxe Co-ordinating Bib

As an addition to my sewing empire I have created this gorgeous co-ordinating paisley print corduroy bib with baby pink ric rac embellishment which can be teamed with the matching paisley burp cloth as a gift for someone special or to simply treat your own little darling.

Made with a layer of soft snugly 100% cotton flannelette backing and a central layer of microfiber these fabrics provide both absorbency and superior softness.

Baby will love the feeling of this bib against their skin and you will love the look!

Introducting the Thirsty Burpy©

I designed the "Thirsty Burpy©" for my daughter who has reflux and is a super spewer. Made from a lightweight cord topper and a lightweight, trim and highly absorbent microfibre backing (80% polyester and 20% polyamide) which grips Mum’s clothing, these contoured burp cloths are perfect for containing large volumes of baby spew whilst staying put on Mum’s shoulder. They are top stitched for extra durability.

These cute burp cloths are a great gift idea and would make a lovely baby shower gift as they are useful for general burping and spit clean ups as well as containing those super spills.

Measures: 48cm long x 20.5cm wide at widest points and 15.5cm across the middle

Machine wash normal cycle
Tumble dry cool or line dry
Warm iron if needed

Mini Layer Cakes...

Introducing my latest creation - the Mini Layer Cake Skirt

This mini version of the layer cake skirt is designed to fit a baby to toddler (NB - 2yrs).  With the reduced hemline this skirt allows your bub to crawl, toddle, walk and run without tripping over excess ruffles but still looking absolutely gorgeous! Currently available in four different varieties of owls - I just love the print so have whipped up a few different combinations of the blue owls as well as the melon owls.

As with the original layer cake this skirt comes complete with an adjustable waist accessed through a peep hole at the back of the skirt waistband.  There are two size settings at 50cm and 47cm to allow you to adjust the fit to suit your child as they grow. The smaller size snap setting would suit approx NB - 9 months and the larger size snap setting would suit approx 9 months to 2 years. The elastic is soft, stretchy and non roll.

This skirt is absolutely beautiful on and would make any little girl feel like a princess.

Layer Cake Skirt - Park Life Collection

This fun layer cake skirt has three layers of ruffles in a bright combination of park life fabrics.

The skirt in the picture comes with enough elastic to fit up to a 22 inch or 56cm waist. This will fit from approx 6 months through to 5 years. This timeless skirt can last many seasons.

There are 5 size options accommodated in the waistband where I have placed snaps at half inch or 2.5cm intervals. When your child grows simply pull the elastic back through the peep hole in the waistband and unsnap to adjust the size to fit, then re-snap. You can repeat this process as many times as necessary until your child outgrows the skirt.

This skirt can be made to order in any combination of fabrics. If you have a preference please email me on petitbebe@xtra.co.nz with your custom order.
